Description

Deliciously soft and gooey chocolate chip cookies with festive candy cane sprinkles, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 cup Brown sugar, light packed
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Sprinkles, red and green
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup Candy canes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and candy canes.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto lined baking sheets.
  7. Sprinkle with red and green sprinkles.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
