Deliciously soft and gooey chocolate chip cookies with festive candy cane sprinkles, perfect for holiday gatherings.

- 2 large Eggs
- 2 3/4 cups All-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Almond extract
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 cup Brown sugar, light packed
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup Sprinkles, red and green
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 cup Unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup Candy canes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and candy canes.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto lined baking sheets.
- Sprinkle with red and green sprinkles.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
