Ingredients

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and heavy cream. Stir until the sugars dissolve.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Let it boil for about 5 minutes without stirring until it reaches a soft ball stage (around 234°F).
- Remove from heat and stir in butter, vanilla extract, and chopped pecans.
- Allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.
- Drop spoonfuls onto parchment paper and let them harden completely before serving.
Notes
These pralines store well at room temperature for up to two weeks and can also be refrigerated or frozen for longer storage.
