Delicious sausage rolls filled with rich French onion flavor, perfect for gatherings or cozy family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pork mince
  • 1 tsp Chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp Fresh herbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Freshly cracked Black pepper to taste
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 2 sheets Puff pastry
  • 1 cup Cheese (grated)
  • 1 tbsp Milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, sauté the pork mince, chili flakes, and fresh herbs until browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in egg, Dijon mustard, tomato ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and French onion soup mix until well combined.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into rectangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture on each rectangle and sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. Roll up the pastry around the filling, and brush the tops with milk.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These rolls are best served warm. Pair them with a creamy dipping sauce for added flavor.
