Ingredients

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil to the meat. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, and half of the Parmesan.
- Spread a layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and sauce. Repeat layers, ending with mozzarella.
- Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Letting lasagna rest before serving helps it hold its shape.
