Delicious cookies that blend the classic flavors of crème brûlée with a comforting cookie texture.


Ingredients

  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined and no lumps remain.
  6. Scoop cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
  8. While the cookies cool, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  9. Serve the cookies with a dollop of whipped cream on top for a crème brûlée effect, adding an optional sprinkle of sugar for crunch.

Notes

For an extra touch, you can lightly caramelize the sugar topping with a torch just before serving.
