Description

A nostalgic and comforting Honey Glazed Corn Casserole made with sweet honey, buttery corn, and creamy goodness, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Creamed corn
  • 2 cups Fresh corn kernels or 1 can of corn, drained
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 Chives or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the creamed corn, fresh corn, and sour cream.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, honey, and melted butter.
  4. Add the egg mixture to the corn mixture and stir to combine.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine cornmeal, baking powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Fold in the cheddar cheese and chives or parsley.
  8. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients. Experiment with different cheeses for variety.
