Description

A delightful combination of dark and white chocolate with refreshing peppermint, perfect for holiday gifting or cozy indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 8 oz white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl using a microwave or a double boiler until smooth.
  3. Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer about ¼ inch thick. Allow to cool for 10 minutes until set.
  4. Melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl, stirring in the peppermint extract once smooth.
  5. Pour the melted white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer and spread evenly.
  6. While the white chocolate is still soft, sprinkle the crushed peppermint candy on top and gently press down. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt.
  7. Let the peppermint bark cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate to speed up the setting process.
  8. Once set, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for the best results and consider variations like adding nuts or caramel.
