Ingredients

  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 cup olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (optional)
  • Hot honey (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and 1/4 cup of olive oil.
  3. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. After the dough has risen, punch it down and spread it into a greased baking sheet.
  7. Create dimples in the dough using your fingers, then drizzle with the remaining olive oil.
  8. Sprinkle minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, and rosemary on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with hot honey before serving.
