- 2 cups warm water
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 cup olive oil, plus more for drizzling
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (optional)
- Hot honey (for drizzling, optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and 1/4 cup of olive oil.
- Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- After the dough has risen, punch it down and spread it into a greased baking sheet.
- Create dimples in the dough using your fingers, then drizzle with the remaining olive oil.
- Sprinkle minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, and rosemary on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with hot honey before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping.
