Description

Delightful brown butter toffee cookies with a rich buttery flavor and crunch of toffee.


Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 22 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup Chocolate chips
  • 1 Flakey sea salt
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 9 Saltine crackers
  • 22 tbsp Butter, salted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and browned butter. Add in the eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and crumbled Saltine crackers.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each.
  7. Sprinkle with flakey sea salt on top.
  8. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to wire racks. Enjoy your cookies!

Notes

For chewy cookies, chill the dough before baking and use quality chocolate chips.
