- 2 large Eggs
- 2 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp Almond extract
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 Sanding sugars, Red and green
- 1 1/2 cups Sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Butter, salted
- 2 oz Cream cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this into the creamed mixture.
- Roll the dough into balls and roll the balls in sanding sugars.
- Place on a baking sheet and flatten slightly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
