Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a Bundt pan well.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Alternately add the flour mixture and buttermilk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with flour. Mix until just combined.
  6. Mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it. Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Swirl the batter gently with a knife to create a marble effect.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and avoid overmixing the batter.
