Description

A festive Christmas Cake filled with vibrant colors and delicious flavors, perfect for holiday celebrations and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red and green food coloring
  • Fluffy vanilla frosting
  • Cake crumbs for sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 9-inch cake pans.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
  5. Divide the batter into three bowls. Color one red, one green, and leave one white.
  6. Pour the colored batters into the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cakes in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, layer the cakes in the order of red, white, and green, spreading vanilla frosting in between each layer and on top.
  9. Crumble any leftover cake and sprinkle on top for decoration.
  10. Serve and enjoy your festive Christmas Cake!

Notes
