Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar

  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1/4 cup Candy canes or peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until fully incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed candy canes.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
