- 2 large Eggs
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup Cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp Peppermint extract
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 3/4 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1/4 cup Candy canes or peppermint candies
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until fully incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed candy canes.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
