Ingredients

  • 6 slices Bacon
  • 6 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup raisins or dried cranberries
  • 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 3/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble it and set aside.
  2. In the same bowl, combine broccoli florets, raisins, finely chopped red onion, and sunflower seeds.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, black pepper, and salt to create the dressing.
  4. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss until well coated.
  5. Add in the crumbled bacon and cheddar cheese, mixing gently.
  6. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes
